Brandon Knight roSBD: not to block union chief Billy Hunter hopes

 NBPA director Billy Hunter doubt on optimism that the NBA lockout could be avoided if the CBA runs on 30 June saying that the fight against the proposed new league has the players has been worse than the previous proposal, and one of the players could not accept.



Hunter said the player believes that the first proposal of the NBA, if that is in writing at the time of the 2010 All-Star Game draconian and impressive. Hunter said the owner, the players presented with a new proposal three weeks ago.

Hunter said the players are ready to negotiate and want an agreement before the expiration of the CBA to achieve. But he said he would make a bad deal for the players.



Hunter said a lockout would be devastating, the league said it took at least six years to recover from the blockade of 98-99 in the NBA.
 NBA executive vice president and general counsel Rick Buchanan said negotiators from the League and the Union met frequently to collective bargaining and will continue with about 40 days after the NBA's CBA.


Buchanan said that although winning the NBA has increased, as well as the costs and all NBA teams substantial losses during the past five years have suffered greatly and will continue without a new collective agreement.
